The American Coalition for Healthcare Claims Integrity (ACHCI) today announced the launch of a new website, ProperPayments.org, that highlights the ongoing work of government accountability programs and private sector partners in the fight against waste, fraud and abuse in the nation’s healthcare system.
Founded in 2009, the American Coalition for Healthcare Claims Integrity (ACHCI) is a non-profit organization committed to achieving 100% accuracy in payment claims submitted to public and private sector healthcare payors.
The coalition’s mission is to educate policymakers and other stakeholders regarding the importance of healthcare integrity programs that help identify and correct improper payments. ACHCI’s founding members are partners in critical accountability initiatives including the federal Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC), Zone Program Integrity Contractor (ZPIC), and Medicaid Integrity Contractor (MIC) programs.
ACHCI’s goal is to unite diverse organizations and thought leaders to explore and exchange innovative ideas, explore best practices and collaborate on proven strategies that allow private and government payors to achieve complete integrity and accuracy of all health claims paid in the U.S.
In partnership with government programs and private sector payors, member organizations of ACHCI have recovered billions of dollars in improper payments for healthcare payors – part of an ongoing mission to reduce the cost of health care and safeguard integrity, accountability and transparency in the nation’s healthcare system.
